Eddie Murray (CA)

Joint Managing Director

Eddie qualified as a CA back in 1975 and has worked in Public Practice throughout his career and has been a partner at Murray & Henderson for over 25 years. Eddie is well renowned for his Tax expertise and has provided Tax advice and guidance to countless individuals and companies over the years. He also puts a strong focus on helping clients both understand and grow their businesses.

Being a former rugby referee, who officiated up to international level, Eddie is still heavily involved with rugby at a local level. However, his main action these days takes place on the golf course, including the 19th hole.

Michael Harkins (BAcc CA)

Joint Managing Director

Michael joined the firm in 2020. He qualified as a CA in 1996 and then spent over 20 years overseas working for a large multinational manufacturing company, in a broad range of senior Finance management roles, in various countries. Michael’s current focus is on implementing the latest digital accountancy software at the firm and also working with clients to help them generate efficiencies.

Away from the office, Michael has three daughters who help to keep him busy and is also a devoted worshipper at Cappielow Park.

Michael Reynolds (BA Hons)

Manager

Michael is a qualified accountant who has worked at Murray & Henderson for over 20 years and is focused mainly on overseeing accounts production for our clients, including a number of Charities. Michael is available to offer one-to-one advice and support on all aspects of accounting and book-keeping. Michael is also the IT specialist in the firm and ensures all our client’s accounts and tax returns are filed digitally with HMRC, Companies House, and the Charity Regulator.

Stacey Gatens

Manager Payroll

Stacey is our newest team member and is a Payroll specialist, having extensive experience in managing payroll for a large company, prior to joining Murray & Henderson. Stacey also assists a number of our clients with their bookkeeping and complying with the digital filing of their VAT returns.

Angela Henderson

Personal Assistant

Angela has worked with the firm for over 25 years and is a font of knowledge on all of our clients and their history over the years. She is the firm’s Personal Assistant and is responsible for the smooth running of our digital practice management software.

Gaynor Kelly

Payroll Analyst

Gaynor joined us in 2013 and currently manages a portfolio of clients, assisting them in various areas, including Payroll, Bookkeeping and Accounts Preparation and digital VAT returns. Gaynor is known for her sense of humour in the office and for staying calm in any situation!

Eden McCafferty

Admin Assistant

Eden joined Murray & Henderson in 2018, as part of a school leavers training program. She currently helps us in all areas of the business, ensuring the smooth functioning of the office.
